What's going on..

So we've been crazy with everything the past couple of weeks. So to catch everyone up here it goes.

Preston is done with school for the semester. It's been a long semester, but he did well in his classes. He is now on break until the Spring semester starts. Also the Hunter High football coach resigned and they have now hired a new coach, Tim Murphy. Preston is really looking forward to working with him. This will be his third coaching staff in three years at Hunter that he's been on. Preston loves being able to work at Hunter, which it has been a huge blessing for us!

As for me, I have been coaching the Hunter High cheerleaders. They had their first competition the first Saturday of December where they took 3rd place! I was very proud to be their coach. I've been going to lots of basketball games to advice them. I am still working at Meier & Marsh and love it very much! It's been perfect for me.

Preston and I have been going to lots of basketball games to support Willie. Preston has been doing stuff for the school with the games. He's been doing the book and scoreboard for the games.

Well that is all that's going on with us at the moment!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! :) Only a week left!!

Thanksgiving Weekend

This past weekend was a blast! We were super busy every day, but we enjoyed every minute of it!

Turkey Day with the Woods was a totally new experience for me. I had never been to a dinner with so many people! The food was amazing too! Lots of turkey, stuffing, and you can't forget the delicious desserts. We also watched lots and lots of football. At 9:30 at night, we (Preston, Meranda, Parker, Willie, and I) decided to go to Black Friday at midnight to watch all the crazy people. Well I became one of those crazy people. I found a camera that I wanted that was only $100, usually $200! I got luck and got the very last one on the shelf!! Only bad thing, I can't have it until Christmas. :( oh well at least I'll get it soon!
Friday we went to the last home football game for the Utes. Unfortunately they lost 20-17. We did get to see two former Wolverines that Preston played with score touchdowns. :) We had great seats, if only it hadn't been so cold. After the game we went and saw The Muppets. It was the funniest movie I have seen in quite some time! I laughed through the whole thing! :)
Saturday we got up bright and early to go cut down our Christmas tree in Wayne County. We left at 7 and got down there about 10:30. We found our Christmas tree and it looks so much better than last years Charlie Brown tree. :) Preston stayed the night to help with work on the farm, while I came back to teach our Primary class.
Sunday was my sister Chantel's Birthday. It was a big birthday for her! I also had the opportunity to help my mom set up her Christmas tree. It is always my favorite thing to put up for Christmas. Preston and Evan made it home safely from Wayne County and I was so glad to have my husband back home. :)
Monday (even though it wasn't part of the weekend) was Evan's birthday, so we went over for cake and ice cream. :)

Overall we had a holiday weekend and look forward to many more to come!

Thankful

I love this time of the year. It gives me the opportunity to really reflect on the things that I am most thankful for in my life. At this point in time, I have so much to be thankful for!

I have been blessed with a wonderful husband that is sweet and loving. He takes such wonderful care of me. He couldn't be more perfect for me. We are so happy together and get along so well. He works so hard to provide for us. He is the hardest worker I have ever met and he is such an inspiration to me. I am so grateful every day that I have him in my life and that I have him for all eternity. I am grateful that I found a man worthy to take me to the temple and that wants to spend eternity with me as well.

I am thankful for the family that I have. Not only my immediate family, but for my in-laws as well. My parents have been such a support for me and Preston. They were able to take time out of their schedule to came to almost every Hunter High Football game this season to support the football team and the cheerleaders that we coach. Preston's parents and brother, Parker, came to every game as well. It is so amazing to have such a great support system with us.

I am grateful for the opportunity I have had to live where I do. The neighbors and ward are such amazing people. They have made me feel so welcomed. They've made moving here like moving home. There is not one person that has made me feel like I am an "outsider" to them. It's like I've lived here all my life.

What I am most thankful for is the Lord and all the blessings that he has bestowed upon us. He blessed me with a wonderful husband, amazing jobs (for both of us), amazing family, and so much more. Just in the last year we were blessed with the opportunity to go back to Preston's mission in Buenos Aires Argentina for 3 weeks. I was able to meet people that he had taught and I grew to love each one of them. The couple that we stayed with, Miguel and Natalia, were some of the sweetest, kindest people I have ever met. I am so blessed to have met them and grew to love them as family. I am grateful for the calling that I've been given in the Primary with Preston. Our kids are so sweet and so much fun to be around. I love each one of them like they were my own kids.

Take this time to reflect on things that you are thankful for. It's amazing what it does to your mood. It lifts your spirits. Don't be like me and take this time of year to think about it, Be grateful all year long. Let others know you are grateful for them and everything they do for you. Thank you for taking the time to read our blog and learn what's going on in our lives.

Weekend Wrap-up

So this past weekend has been quite the busy weekend.

Friday was the first games of the State Playoffs. Our game was against Lone Peak. I won't go into much detail other than we lost 51-6 and my cheerleaders had the opportunity to perform at half-time. We really progressed this year. Sad to see that it's over, but there's always next year.

After the game we came home and left for Provo. Saturday we ran in the Provo Halloween Half Marathon.

It was the most unorganized event we have ever been to. It started with our registeration being lost, our bus driver not knowing where we were suppose to be dropped off, people on the bus freaking out and demanding to be left off the bus, the "heated" tent not really being heated, no one really incharge, no water or food at the start, crowded start, not enough water along the way, no food or energy things at water stations, huge crowd at the end that you couldn't get through, and our bags getting thrown everywhere. Also the course was so hard on our bodies. We are both very sore after it. It is nothing, but down hill and the first 5 miles is a very steep downhill. We drop about 3000 feet in that first 5.

On the upside, we both got our PRs on this race. Preston ran it in 1:45 and I ran it in 2:01. We also got to dress up. Preston and I were Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl and our friends Nick and Iris were Dash and Violet.

Then Saturday night we went to the Blackout Utah game. It was so much fun and Utah finally won there first Pac-12 game! We went with Parker and it was a blast!

It was a great weekend for us! Hope everyone has a Happy Halloween!!

Playoffs here we come!

Last night was the final game of the regular season for Hunter High. There was a lot of pressure on this game. It was what would decide if this was our final game of the season or we would get at least a post season game. Even more pressure for this game, it was against the region champs Viewmont. They were undefeated in Region play thus far.

So the game started with Hunter receiving the ball (which is Preston's special teams that he coaches) which opening kick off we take it to the house, two point conversion was good and Hunter was up 8-0! Hunter was up 14-0 before Viewmont had a chance to score. The game at one point was tied, but it did not stay that way for long.

Hunter ended up winning 28-14! We made it to the playoffs in the 4th place spot. Yay!!!

Next game: Hunter vs. Lone Peak (day TBA)

Thursday Night's Game

So this past week we had the football game on Thursday. The game was against Taylorsville and Hunter came out on top! The final score was 33-14. Not only was it the last home game of the year, but it was also:

1. Senior night- to honor the seniors of the football team
2. Mini cheer- yes I was able to help which was so much fun, sad part I missed the first half of the game.

All in all the night turned out quiet well!

Now as for post season play, there is an interesting twist in region 2. As of right now Viewmont is taking the region title no matter what happens this week, but there is a four way tie for second between: West, Kearns, Granger, and Hunter! Depending on who wins this week Hunter can be anywhere from 2 to 5 place. We're really hoping for that number two spot which means we need to win on Wednesday.

Our game this week: vs. Viewmont

Hopefully we can get it!

Football

So I've been putting it off, but I must post about last weeks game. Hunter lost to Kearns 16-8. It was a cold and wet game. It's hard to be a coach's wife sometimes, I take the lose as hard as he does. Preston comes home and tells me about how each practice was so good that week and that we were totally going to win. He tells me all about the kids and his perception of the kids becomes my perspective of them. So when we are in every game, but can't get a win it's rough. I want so badly for the team to win like they should be. Hopefully this next week will be a "W".

Game of the week: Hunter vs. T-ville
*side note: It's Senior Night, Mini-cheer, and a little league scrimmage.*

Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend has been nothing but amazing for us!

Friday night Hunter won there first game! We were so excited and that excitement carried on into the next day.

Saturday morning we ran a 5k to help support Parker and the swim team. Both Preston and I had our personal record for a 5k. Preston's time was 22 minutes 36 seconds and mine was 26 minutes 47 seconds. We were so excited! That afternoon we were able to go to the Utah-Washington game, there first home PAC 12 game. We went up early to go do some tailgating with someone Preston knows, but were unable to find them. So we headed into the stadium. We were some of the first to arrive and we were enjoying the seen. Unfortunately Utah lost pretty bad.

Today we were able to go up to Syracuse and visit with my family. We had breakfast and watched General Conference. Heidi is starting to show a little bit, she said that probably this month they will find out if they are having a boy or girl! We are so excited for them and to add a new addition to our extended family!

General Conference was wonderful as always. I know without a doubt that each one of those men in the quorum and presidency are called of God and I am always grateful for the opportunity that I have to hear them speak every six months. I am proud to call myself a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Finally!!

Hunter finally got it's first win of the season! It just so happened to come during the best game, the rivalry game again Granger High! Hunter's old head coach is now coaching there so we really wanted to win.

Our boys played so hard! We led most of the game, but Granger started to come back. I just kept praying that we would win, these boys deserved to win that game. The score was 18-15 with less than a minute to go and Granger was on the move. Then the best thing happened, a linebacker got a pick 6 with the extra point being good, making the score 25-15. It was a great game and a great win for the Wolverines!

Next week: Hunter vs. Kearns

Homecoming Game

This post is coming a little late, but better late than never!

So Friday was Hunter's Homecoming game. We played West High. Our boys played so well! They were ahead for the majority of the game. The score going into the 4th quarter was 13-7. West was on the move and ended up scoring making the score 14-13. We got the ball back with 4:31 left in the game. We had a great run back, but ended up coming back because of a flag. The ball was thrown and picked off for a touchdown, but a missed extra point to make the score 20-13. We ended up losing the game. Hunter is now 0-5. They deserved to win that game! Even the newspaper agreed. The West boys were so misbehaved! They had 7 personal foul calls while our boys had none.

On the upside, my cheer team performed at half time and did an awesome job! I was so proud of them! It makes me really excited about competition!

This week: Hunter vs. Granger (hopefully we get a win! Fingers crossed!)

Top of Utah Marathon

“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.” -Mahatma Gandhi

This quote explains everything that I personally experienced Saturday morning.

Preston, Meranda and I all ran the Top of Utah Marathon. 26.2 Miles! We all finished in under 5 hours.

The morning started at 4:45. We woke up and got ready to go run. We picked up Meranda and headed to the park to catch the bus up the canyon.

When we reached the top we thought we'd us the port-o-potty before heading to the starting line, yeah so did everyone else! There were huge lines! While waiting it started to pour down rain! About 5 minutes before the race started it stopped raining. There were so many people running!! There were well over 3000 runners!

As we made our run down the canyon, it was perfect running weather, cloudy and cool just the way we like it. Half way down the canyon the medical staff on bikes were stopped and told us that we were about to run into a major rain storm. We felt like we'd jumped in to a swimming pool with everything on and desided to go run we got so wet from the rain. After that it started to hail and there was lightning and thunder as well, but we made it safely through. We ran the first 17 miles and then did an alternation between a run and a walk to the end.

We were able to see The Woods cheering us on at different points in the race that really helped keep us (mostly me) going.

At the end of the race they announced our names and where we were from over the PA and both the Clemmers (my parents) and the Woods (Cindy, Evan, and Parker) were at the end to cheer us in. We got awesome medals and some massages at the end!

We finished in 4:58:31 under 5 hours!!! Not bad for a first marathon!

I said I will never run another marathon again, but who knows maybe I'll change my mind as soon as I forget how sore I am. Preston, of course, says he's going to keep running them.

Glad that's it's over. We now get to start preparing for a Halloween Half in October. :)

Also we got to end our amazing Saturday with the U dominating BYU! =)

*some pictures will be coming soon from the marathon*

Hunter vs. Davis @ Weber State

Friday night Hunter played Davis High at Weber State University. It was the coolest setting for a Friday night High School Football Game. The game didn't start until 8 at night because Syracuse (my old high school) played in a game before us. I rode the bus with the cheerleaders. The bus left earlier that I would have liked. So we got up there at 6:30 and had an hour and a half to kill. On the upside I was able to watch Syracuse play and see my old coach.

As for our game we lost, BUT we scored twice and kept Davis from only scoring in the first quarter. The final score was 28-12.

We have a bye this week, BUT we are running our marathon on Saturday!!

Labor Day Weekened

Hunter vs. West Jordan

So Friday was another football game that ended in a lose. It was a rough game to watch. The only good part is that we ended the night eating at Ihop.

Next week: Hunter vs. Davis @ Weber State

Saturday

We spent the whole day watching our favorite thing, COLLEGE FOOTBALL!! We even watched while we were running at the gym. Also we spent some time at the Woods house. As we were leaving I felt something hit my head and I started to freak out and I felt something soft and squishy and learned that it was a BIRD! I freaked out and Preston being the loving husband he is comforted me and said that the bird probably thought that me hair was a nest.

Sunday

We went to church and I got to teach our Primary class while Preston was home sick. Luckily for me Meranda was home from school and able to come and help with "crowd control" a bit. We also learned that Preston's Grandma Wood was on her way up to SLC to the hospital. She has been sick lately.

Monday

We went and ran our 3 miles and then went to see Grandma Wood in the hospital. We were able to spend the whole day together which was awesome! Not something we get to do very often during football season, which is something we are both fine with!

All in all it was a great and much needed weekend!!

Football and more football!

So earlier this week Preston was made the Special Teams Coordinator. With this new position, comes new stress! He is now the Running Backs coach, Special Teams Coordinator, and JV Offensive Coordinator.

I am so proud and happy to be a coach's wife! There is nothing more fun!! He works so hard, but I know that he wouldn't change it for anything and he loves coaching!

Game tonight is against West Jordan. Hopefully we'll get a "W" out of this one!

Football: Hunter vs Pleasant Grove

So yesterday was another football game. Our boys played so hard, we just can't seem to get that ball into the end zone. It will come soon I'm sure! We ended up losing 13-0. We came so close to scoring so many times that I can't believe that we didn't get one touchdown. Next game hopefully!

As for my cheerleaders, it was my first game by myself supervising. We had to ride on a bus for an hour which was super hot! We had so much fun though! We played games, ate, and talked. I love each one of my cheerleaders! They are just so much fun to be around and are always so happy to see me. They did awesome at the game and I look forward to getting to do more with them in the months to come!

Next Game: Hunter vs West Jordan

Football season is here!

So yesterday was officially the kick off of a new season of football for Hunter High. Preston is the Running backs coach putting in long days of practice and I am the assistant cheer/ tumbling coach putting in early mornings. I now have double reason to be at each game.

Anyways, it was a rough night for Hunter High football. We lost to Layton (from my old region) 28-0. The score does not represent how well the boys played though. They worked so hard! This next week have Pleasant Grove at Pleasant Grove. I have been there once before when Syracuse played them in the playoffs and won in the last 2 seconds (literally!) to go to the State Semis at the University of Utah. Hopefully Hunter will have the same success on Friday.

My cheerleaders did awesome for their first game. We only had 8 cheering due to sickness and probation. They made me proud! They were pretty loud for only having 8 and they were super sharp!

I live for football season and I am so glad it is back! Go Wolverines!

Our First Anniversary!

So Friday was our first anniversary. We went out to lunch to Cafe Rio and then for dinner went out to eat to Tucanos.
It was very simple, but we got to spend time together which made it great!
It's amazing how far we've come in just a short year. We went through football season, basketball season, ran a couple 5K races, a 1/2 marathon, and training for a marathon.

We also went on a once in a lifetime trip to Argentina and got to enjoy a magical weekend in Disneyland with the Wood family. I would have to say this past year has been one amazing year!

One year down, eternity to go! :)

Legacy Midnight Run

On Friday July 15th we ran in our first half marathon! It started at 10 P.M. For those who don't know that's about the time I get really tired. So I figured that Friday during the day I would be able to take a nap to help me have more energy, well that wasn't in the cards for me. My car decided to die instead. The starter on the car was out, so we had to call the insurance and luckily for us we have towing insurance. We got it to the shop and by the time all this finished, it was time to get ready for the race. Here was some of the highlights and low lights:

* Weird people run the race (including a dork kid wearing jeans and a belt who won his age group)
* Do not take the first bus because all you do is sit and wait for everyone else.
* Waiting for instruction that never came
* Everyone crammed to start the race
* Everyone dressed up in glowsticks
* Hot water at the aid stations
* Finished the race in 2 hours and 19 minutes
* No one cheering at the end
* Lastly, no medals for us when we finished because they gave them all to the 5 and 10k people

We will give them another try next year because we really enjoyed running it, but we'll be more prepared and as will the race is what we've heard from them.

Our summer is going great! We get to spend a lot of time running together and spending weekends together.

The Happiest Place on Earth

We were able to escape for a weekend from the craziness of life into the magical world of Disney. We went with Preston's family to Disneyland for three days. We had so much fun! We didn't have to wait in lines for very long so we went on rides too many times. :) We also learned that Parker is a magnate for water, even on Pirates! We also got to eat some of the best food ever! Churros definitely better in Disneyland!! We had the most amazing tasting ice cream, PINEAPPLE! We are now settling down from our "world traveling" and back into the real life of working. We hope we can go back there soon! :)

Craziness of Life!

So we have now been back from Argentina for almost a month and life has been busy, busy, busy! We both went back to work the next day. Preston is working at West Lake Junior High's summer camp, working security at different events, and coaching football with a new coach. We were told while we were in Argentina the head coach resigned and we now have a new coach at Hunter High. We are looking forward to an awesome season! As for me I am back to work at Meier & Marsh, working in the office for a construction company, and coaching cheer. We are enjoying everything that we are doing.

As for today, we are leaving for California tonight to go on vacation for the weekend to Disneyland! We are so excited!! We get to go have fun with the Woods!

Disneyland here we come! :)

Goodbye Argentina, we will miss you!

So this is officially our last blog post in Argentina. We cannot believe how fast this vacation went! We have had so much fun down here and we will miss it very much. The people here are so amazing and it was so hard to say goodbye to them. Miguel and Natalia have become like family to us. We will miss them dearly, but know that we will be able to talk to them still. This has been such an amazing experience for me to actually get to see Preston´s mission. I know so much better what it was like for him here and what the people mean to him and what he means to everyone here. We have been so lucky and blessed to come here! We are very thankful for everything that we´ve been given.

We are excited to get back home and get back to doing our regular schedule and of course see our families again. :) We have lots of pictures so that we can look back at our trip. So long for now, we´ll be back home in about 24 hours!

Vicente Lopez & Baradero

Yesterday we spent the morning in Vicente Lopez. Preston drove us out there in a stick! He did so good. He drove in the crazy traffic of people, even when he was getting honked at by crazy Argentine drivers! It was so much fun! We walked along the coast line a little bit and had the best restaurant food we´ve had all trip! Preston had a steak and I had pasta. We both had Flan and it was homemade and delicious! The houses there are so amazing as well! It´s where most of the Americans that live down here are. It´s also where the mission home is. It was very nice!

Today our day started bright and early in the morning. We took a train and a bus to Baradero. I finally got to see Preston´s first area. It is out in the middle of nowhere! It was kind of nice though, for a change of pace and feeling. It is a very low key, easy going town. We went to the Family Sosa´s house. They are so nice! There are a ton of kids that live there, but they were such a nice family. After we visited them we went out to eat and got GIANT milanesa sandwiches. I could barely finish half! We then went down to the river for a little bit. We had a dog follow us all the way down there too! We were getting VERY annoyed!! We luckily got him to go away. We had so much fun and are enjoying the last days of our vacation. We´ll be very sad when it´s over, but happy as well that we´ll be able to go back home!

Rio Gallegos and El Calafate

So we have been in Rio Gallegos since Saturday. We had some awesome food down here! Lots of Asado which is pretty much a BBQ, but better. I got to meet one of Preston´s converts and his family. They were the nicest people I´ve ever met! I learned how much of an effect he had on the people down here and it just makes me feel so blessed to have him in my life. On Sunday, we got to speak again. It was very last second, but luckily for me I got to do it in English this time while Preston translated it. The people here have been so nice to us! We´ve been very lucky!

Sunday night we headed to El Calafate. We left Rio Gallegos at 8:30 and arrived there at about 12:30. We stayed in a Police Station. That´s right, except we were in the dormitories they allow police officers and a few other people. Preston knew someone in Gallegos that knew a member that worked for the police department in Calafate so we were so lucky and were able to stay there. It was only about an hour from the Glacier. So we went to the Glacier yesterday. It is so big! You don´t truly understand until you see it for yourself. It is sky blue! It was so amazing. You couldn´t help, but just want to stay and look at it for hours! The only downside to it was that it was pretty chilly! We have had so much fun down here! We are excited to go back to Buenos Aires though. We have a few more things we want to do including going to Preston´s first area, a fiesta for us on Friday, and a swap meet (a huge one from what I´ve heard). This next week is going to fly by!

Well we´re now getting packed so we are ready to go catch our plane this afternoon!

Dinner with the Villas, Lunch with the Camposanos/Dolores, and Rio Gallegos

So the past couple of days have been a lot of fun for us! It´s given us more of a chance to visit with people that Preston taught and spent a lot of time with.

We had dinner with the Villa family! It was so delicious!! We had what are called canelones. There were two kinds, one filled with meat and the other with spinich. After we had ice cream! It was by far the best ice cream I have ever had! The dad is an ice cream maker so it was homemade!

Lunch with the Camposanos/Dolores was so much fun! They are Peruvian so it was different than the food we´ve been eating. We had potatoes, chicken and rice! I was in heaven. There was also ceviche. It is a seafood dish so I of course didn´t eat it. Although Preston made me try a little piece and I ended up spitting it out into a napkin. Dad would have loved it! It´s cooked, but only by lemons so it´s unlike anything I´ve ever seen. Preston says it´s the best he has ever had!

I did not like this dish at all!

We are now in Rio Gallegos for the next couple of days! We arrived safely and where we are going to be staying is very nice.It is definately a different feel down here than in Villa Ballester! It is a lot more open, not so many houses and buildings. It´s a bit chiller down here than Ballester, but we have coats to keep us nice and warm. The Vega family that we are staying with are very nice and quite funny!

Our plans have changed for the vacation after we get back to Buenos Aires. We are no longer going to the Falls. We decided we didn´t want to take that long of a trip this time around. there are still people we are wanting to visit and we don´t have the time to do the falls trip and visit them. I guess we´ll just have to come down and visit again so that we can go see them. :)

We also want to tell Mike and Lauryn Happy Anniversary! We love you guys so much and hope you have a wonderful day together!

Rosario

Went to Rosario yesterday and it was such a fun, but long day! We got to see the Monument of the Flag in downtown Rosario.
It was a perfect day there! We did a lot of walking around the monument. We learned that it was built in the 1950´s and that there was a contest for what the monument would look like. By the monument is a huge river called El Río Paraná that boats use for traveling. There was an awesome bridge crossing it.
We went to the mission home where we took a package for Tanner. The Missionaries at the Mission Office were very nice. I also had the opportunity to talk to Tanner on the phone! He is doing great! He is loving his mission so much and he really likes his new mission companion! He is very grateful to be getting those things. I know exactly why he wants sour and spicy, there is none of that down here! It is all about the sweets! We also got a picture from the past Christmas Card for the mission that has a picture of all the missionaries that were in the mission. Below is also a picture with the missionaries that helped us.

After dropping off the package at the mission home we went and ate at  Miguel´s sister´s restaurant. It was such good food! I have ate some of the best food down here! On our way back we stopped at a city called San Nicolás. They built a new Catholic Church there about 10 years ago, that still isn´t done yet.  There were thousands of people at the church for Mass. It is the last big church they´ve built in Argentina. So that was our day yesterday, and we´ve spent today just relaxing a bit, which was much needed!

Adventure in Capital!

So today we went all around Capital. We took lots of pictures!! One of our favorite things we got to go in and take pictures was a Catholic Cathedral. It was so pretty! The architecture here is so amazing!

Most of the building here have been here since the 1700´s! We saw the Presidential Palace. Instead of a white house, it´s a pink house. :) We saw La Bombonera, It is the stadium of a soccer club called Boca, and it holds 40,000 people! There is a place designated for ¨the crazies¨and it is said to be one of the loudest stadiums in Argentina! It was way cool. We got to go inside and look at the stadium and then look at a museum they have completely dedicated to Boca!

After the stadium we went to a place where all of the buildings are bright, fun colors called Caminito. It was so pretty. We also took a picture with a bridge that is famous down here. It was a very fun day!

Since about four it has been raining and hasn´t stopped yet. I thought we had escaped the rain, but instead we brought it with us. The traffic to get out of Capital is horrible! I can honestly say that it is as bad, maybe even worse, than L.A. Traffic during rush hour! Luckily tomorrow has a lot of fun in store for us! We are going to Rosario! It was earlier than we originally planned, but it is going to be so much better. Tomorrow is kind of like Flag Day for Argentina and Rosario is like the center for everything! We are going to go to a fair and do some shopping! Ah I´m so excited I can´t wait!!! That´s all for today! Hope all is going well with everyone!

Day Two of Argentina

After an exhausting first day of getting unpacked, sight seeing, eating delicious pizza for dinner, a Sunday was just what we needed.

So since today is Sunday we of course went to church. We had the great opportunity to speak in Sacrament Meeting. It was the chance of a life time, especially for me. I got to bear my testimony on Missionary Work in Español! According to everyone that talked to me and Preston said I did perfect at reading it. It was the most amazing experience that I´ve had to be able to speak spanish in Argentina and to listen to Preston bear his testimony in Spanish as well. He sounds even more amazing than I´ve ever heard his sound! I guess it has something to do with that he´s done nothing, but speak spanish to people the past day and a half. :) So after Sacrament Meeting we went to the other two meetings. I also had the chance to try and sing Hymns in spanish as well. It was not easy, but at least I knew what song I was suppose to be singing! After church we had some amazing pasta and got to take a Sunday nap. We are now going to have some mate and do some sight seeing in Capital! That is all for now! We are having the time of our lives down here and I have the feeling that it is going to go by way too fast!

We´re Here!

So we officially arrived in Argentina today! After the long plane ride with very little sleep, paying for something we weren´t aware of to get into the country, being put in the wrong terminal so we couldn´t find our ride, but all was settled and we are now at home for the next couple of weeks. We are so grateful to have such amazing people to stay with! Miguel and Natalia are some of the most amazing people I´ve met. I know we have nothing to worry about with them around. We are now just going to sit back and relax for the rest of the day and then tomorrow we will be going to church and will be speaking! (Yes it will be in spanish as well!) It will be such a great experience for me and I know Preston is loving every moment of this trip so far, he gets to speak spanish the way he likes too. :) We´ll be keeping everyone updated about how our trip is going, so be sure to read our blog!

It's official, we leave tomorrow at 9:40 A.M. for Argentina! We never thought this day would come! We are so excited to see Miguel & Natalia on Saturday and I am so excited to get to see Preston's mission and the people that he grew to love so much in those two years that he was there. We are also going back two years to the date that he left! How crazy is that?! We have still not packed, but that will all be settled tonight. We are still planning on running regularly down there and are looking to eat some amazing food while we're at it!

Run, Preston and Katie, Run!

We ran in our first 5K on Saturday at Thanksgiving Point. After waking up to about 3 inches of snow, I had no idea what the day was going to hold for us. We got to Thanksgiving Point and all the snow was gone and it turned out to be a beautiful day! We both finished in the top 100 out of about 500 people! I took 3rd out of 33 in my age group so I got a sweet little trophy, Preston took 9th in his, and we also go really cool medals for finishing. It was such an amazing feeling! We are starting to train for a half marathon in July and our ultimate goal a full marathon in September! We are so excited!! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Today is Preston's birthday! I'm so excited to spend his birthday with him. He is the love of my life! I am so proud of everything that he has accomplished in the past 23 years, even though I wasn't there for most of them. He is well on his way to doing many more amazing things in the next year, including running a 5K, a half marathon, and a marathon! I am the luckiest girl to have him in my life. He is so kind and loving, I know that I can talk to him about anything and he would be able to help me. I love you so much Preston and I wish you the happiest birthday ever!

The Countdown begins!

We have officially started the countdown to Argentina! We have decided on of the few of the places we are going to go, but we have not figured out everything. We are going to what are considered two of the Seven Natural Wonders of South America. The first one is Iguazu Falls and the second is Perito Moreno Glacier. We are super excited and can't wait to go! Here is a link to the two places we're going:

Mission Reunion

On Friday we had Preston's mission reunion. I made the best dessert ever! Fruit Pizza. :) It of course all got eaten! I got to meet more missionaries from his mission that I hadn't met before, and he got to see people he hasn't seen for a very long time! Everyone was so nice and friendly, it was nice to get out and see new people! We ate food and talked for about an hour and then for the last hour and a half had a little mission devotional where we could ask them any questions that they had for them on any subject. It was such an amazing experience for me. Having never been a missionary or done anything with that sort of thing, it was like nothing I've ever been through before. The spirit is definitely with Preston's mission President and his wife. That mission truly was a special mission, from the missionaries to the mission president to the people that were being taught. I am so blessed to be associated with these people.

The Big 2-0

Today I turned the big 2-0! Preston is no longer married to a teenager. He made today one of the best birthdays I've ever had! It started off with his alarm clock going off "early", He decided that he would go watch TV to see if he could get back to sleep. It turns out he went to Village Inn and got me breakfast, brought it home and put it on a plate, and woke me up to come and eat it! How much sweeter could he get? :) We then went to lunch at The Cheesecake Factory with my parents which was absolutely delicious! We went to Tucanos for dinner with our friends Dallas and Devin which was a blast! I should have turned 20 earlier. :) This weekend is starting out very well! Plus, who doesn't love this sunshine?!

The Beginning of Forever

We officially started our new life together August 12, 2010. We were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple. We enjoyed the day with friends and family. The wedding was everything we could have ever asked for and more. We have now been married for 7 1/2 months. Life is crazy, but we still find time to spend with each other. We are both working and going to school. Preston is one of the football coach at Hunter High School and also helped with basketball this year as well. I work for a physical therapy office and became the tumbling coach for the cheerleaders at Hunter High. Preston is going into teaching and I am going into the medical field. Life is awesome!
