Update

So I've been terrible this summer keeping up on the blog. Every time I was about to write something, I had some place to be or something to do. That has been the story of our summer so far! To start off the house:

Since we bought the house we chopped down a huge pine tree (pictures to come). We didn't like it so we cut it down and I am so glad that we did!! You can actually see our house now! We finally got some things up on the wall-- after 2 months or so of living there. :) The yard has been a lot of work and we still haven't even tried to tackled the back yet.

This summer we were super busy! I was working a ton!! 2 jobs take up a lot of time and Preston had some classes this summer.

We ran Ragnar with Heidi and Jonny and some people in their ward. It was way fun, but it was exhausting!! We slept in a high school, yes an actual school. (Pictures to come) It was quite the experience, but I'm not sure if I will do it again. I like to run my races straight through. It was like exercising 3 times in 24 hours. It's rough on the body!

After Ragnar I got the opportunity to go to girls' camp with our new ward. We went up to Pineview Reservoir. We spent the first day at Snowbasin hiking--I didn't hike due to blisters from Ragnar. Then we continued on to the camp site to set up camp. The second day we did some arts and crafts, but the main activity was boating! It was so much fun!! Preston got to come up for that and spent the night as our Priesthood leader, which was really fun for me!

We got to go on the big trip this year with my family to Big Springs, ID. It's just a little bit past Lava Hot Springs. It is a natural Spring and it is FREEZING!! Everyone, but me did a "polar bear plunge" into the spring. I was holding Sadie who was asleep, so that was my excuse. :) We also went tubing down the river in Lava which was a blast!! Parker tagged along with us as well and it was just so much fun!!

Preston and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary this month. We kept it simple and went to Ogden and stayed in the Summit Hotel. It was super nice!! It got taken over by the same company that bought

Preston has been busy with school and started his final semester today!! So excited to have him done with that. He is going to be staying working with Biomet once he graduates. He does get the opportunity to help out with Hunter football more than he thought he would this year. He wasn't planning on helping at all, but his schedule has permitted to do so. They had the first game on Friday against Layton and won 19-12. I sadly was not able to be there to watch, but I watched film with Preston so I kind of got to see the game. :) Next week the game is at Davis.

Preston and I had signed up for the Top of Utah half marathon back in March, we then convinced Heidi and  Jonny, to run it with us. So Friday night Heidi, Jonny, and I headed up to Logan for packet pick-up and to check into our hotel. They wouldn't let me get Preston's (annoying) but he was able to get it the day of the race. It was perfect running weather, cool with a tail wind. Preston finished in 1:46, Heidi finished in 2:12, I finished in 2:19, and Jonny finished in 2:36. This was their first distance run and they did awesome!! After the race we went back to the hotel room and crashed. Heidi and Jonny went to go get the girls from Jonny's parents house while Preston and I drove around and we ended up finding a little league football game to watch for a little bit. If you didn't know this about Preston he LOVES football!!

As for me, I am no longer helping with the Hunter High cheerleaders, but I have not left the cheer world just yet. I am a coach at Elite Academy where I've been teaching tumbling. I am the coach for girls that range from 5-11 years old. They are so cute and I am having so much fun with them!!

Life is grand and we are very blessed!!
