Give Thanks

It's a little late, but I wanted to do a thankful post. Since last week was Thanksgiving and this year I decided to do the thirty days of thankfulness. Each day for the month of November I stated things that I was thankful for. It wasn't hard for me because I have so much to be thankful for. I have a very happy life, a wonderful husband that couldn't be more perfect for me, an amazing family (both sides) that support me in everything that I do, a job that provides so much for us and that I enjoy doing the work, the opportunity that I have to go to school and to further my education, and the wonderful home that we have to live in.

The holiday season is my favorite time of the year. People always seem to be the most giving and willing to help anyone that is in need of it. I wish that this same spirit could be kept year around by everyone.

Happy Holidays Everyone!!

Well...

I realized that since Football season got over with Hunter High I haven't written one post about what has been going on with us.

Well after football season go over we have been really just working and school. School has taken over our lives. We are almost through with the semester and man am I glad.

Also I have started another job that is teaching tumbling on Wednesday nights. It is so much fun and is earning us some extra money which is really nice.

Other than those few things nothing is really new for us. Just working, going to school, and enjoying being married.

First Round of the Playoffs

Well sadly our season came to an end last night. With a lose of 14-6.

Hunter this year had such an amazing season! Our final record was 7-3, 5-0 in Region, Region 2 Champions, and had a team that played the best that I've ever seen a Hunter team play.

Describing our football game last night. It was a home game against Fremont. Fremont has played for the State Championship for the past 2 years. They came out on fire and went up 14-0 going into halftime. The third quarter flew by. We almost came back in the 4th quarter, that is when we scored.

Nice season Hunter! It was a pleasure to watch you until next season!!

Football Week #9: Senior Night vs. Viewmont

Well this week we played on Wednesday due to the UEA Holiday Weekend. It was the last game of the regular season and Senior. Before the game they announced all of the seniors. It was a chilly night, but it turned out good with us getting another win. 35-0. We went undefeated in Region and are official the Region 2 Champs and take a #1 seed in the State Playoffs.

Next Game: First Round of the Playoffs, Friday at 5:00
                    Hunter vs. Fremont, home

Football Week #8: Another Win

Well no surprise here, we won again! It's official we're Region 2 Champs! It wasn't a very exciting game, but I do have a Friday night! Although we are still going to a football game, I just get to have Preston sitting next to me. :)

Next Week: Wednesday Game (due to UEA weekend)
Senior Night and last region game vs. Viewmont

Football Week #7: Hunter vs. Kearns & General Conference

Well week 7 of football definitely did not disappoint in the entertainment (and stress!) department. The game was home against Kearns, the only other undefeated in Region team. We needed the win to guarantee that we were to be the Region 2 Champs. We started out the game with the ball, had a nice march down the field to go up 7-0 that was the only lead Hunter had for the majority of the game. We went into the half down 12-7 for Kearns.

The entertainment at halftime was Mini cheer. Kenzie did it and it was so much fun!! They did such a good job for only having 2 days of learning a dance and 2 cheers. The cheerleaders also performed at half and did very good! :)

Start of the third quarter was the start of the stress. Kearns came out and scored with a two point conversion making it 20-7. The third quarter came and went, but Hunter was in scoring position at the start of the fourth quarter. We were at 4th and goal when we finally scored off a throw that was amazingly caught by Noah. Kearns went 3 and out and we got the ball back and scored once again to make the score 21-20. There was still time on the clock when Kearns got the ball back, but luck was on our side when we intercepted the ball.

Final Score:  Hunter 21  Kearns 20

Region Champs!!! (officially after a win this week)

Saturday and Sunday was General Conference. It was a wonderful end to the weekend. There was a big announcement of the age change for missionaries for boys it is now 18 and for girls it is now 19!! Thinking about the timing of things is pretty crazy, because I may have gone on a mission instead of get married to Preston. My life would be completely different! The Lord definitely has the correct timing for things.

Although I didn't get to pay much attention on Saturday because I was bad and procrastinated some major school work and was focusing on that I didn't get to listen as closely as I would have liked to been able to. It's a good thing that we get the Ensign so I can look back. For Priesthood Session, we went up north and Preston went with the boys of my family while I got to hang out with the girls of the family. We then spent the night so we could have breakfast and watch conference with my family. It was so much fun!!

Love the weekend!!

Next Football Game:  Hunter @ Taylorsville, Thursday night

Football Week #6: Homecoming vs. Granger

I couldn't resist posting this! It was THE game that we needed to win. Not only was it Homecoming, but it was against our biggest rival and it pretty much seals up our place as the Region Champs. It was a packed house!! My parents, Heidi, Jonny, and the girls even came!

Well we started the game and it was a slow start. Our defense was doing amazing, but offensively we just couldn't get anything going. We went into half time tied 0-0. The cheerleaders performed at half time and they did such an amazing job!! I was happy and Kenzie and Sadie came down on the field and had so much fun!

The second half started and we came out guns firing!! We went up 7-0 and didn't lose the lead from then on. Thanks to our running back Trevon Johnson who had 4 touchdowns we won 34-14.

The stats: Granger only had 16 yards of total offense. They're touchdowns came off of a run back off of kick-off after one of our touchdowns and the defense picked up a fumble. They had only 1 first down and they only were across the 50 once because they started on the Hunter side.

So happy for the win!! All we need to do is win next week and the title is ours! :)

Next week: Hunter vs. Kearns

Football Week #5: Start of Region play

The week off proved to be a huge advantage for our boys! We got everybody rested up and healed for the first region game. Friday night's game was at West High. It was their Homecoming Game, 122 years that school has been open. Their field is really cool because it is a true football stadium, no track around it. The cheerleaders weren't too happy about where they had to stand, but at least they were able to actually see the game. :) Anyways, the game, it was all Hunter from the beginning. We came out pumped and ready for the game. We scored within the first 3 minutes and took off from there. I was proud of those boys for the cool that they kept up the whole game. West weren't the cleanest players: way late hits, punching, kicking, and targeting players which result in two injuries. Hyrum, our running back, may be out for the season with an ACL injury. We aren't sure it could be an MCL tear, which means with a brace he could still play. Fingers crossed!!

Hunter ended up winning 41-3!!

This week is Homecoming vs. GRANGER!! Super excited!!!

Game #4 & the rest of the weekend

I've been thinking of the best way to talk about the weekend and I realized I really stink at writing! I can't say thing creatively most of my post are very boring to read, let's see if I can do a better job this week at making it more exciting.

Fridays I have the day off of work, I did something different this Friday than every other Friday. I drove up to Syracuse to babysit my two cute little nieces while my sister had to go to work. They are the cutest little girls! Ah I love them!! We played, watched TV, went to the park, and took naps. Easiest kids to watch. From Syracuse I left for home so I could drop the clothes off (I did laundry all day too) and head to the FIRST home game (yes it was the first home game after three weeks on the road).

We were playing an opponent that I know all too well, The Davis Darts. The game was pretty good the first half. It was only 14-0 Davis going into the half. Our defense was looking really good, our offense was struggling a little bit though. The second half was not pretty. Our offense struggled, Davis had two interceptions that resulted in a pick 6 and the other in a field goal. The final ended up being 23-0.

Saturday, we went to the Utah State Fair. This was my first time at the Fair and I had so much fun!! Preston's Mission President and his family show goats. We made it there just in time to watch them win some awards. Then went looking around some more. I had a BLAST!!

Sunday, we had Regional Conference. I really enjoyed it and it was probably one of the fastest 2 hours I have sat through. Elder L. Tom Perry was the final speaker and he gave an amazing talk!! I learned that he is 90 year old, but he really doesn't look that old at all! We then went up north to my parents and had a blast up there. Overall a very good weekend.

Football: BYE this week, September 21:  Hunter@ West (First Region Game)

Football Week #3 & Labor Day

Friday Night was the third game of the season and Hunter came out on top again in a nail biter against West Jordan. Winning 23-21, with our defense getting an interception to seal the winning. I was very grateful!! Even though it was a super long game (didn't get over until after 10!) it was a hard fought game. This week is going to be our biggest challenge yet.

Week #4:

Davis Darts vs. Hunter Wolverines

First home game finally! We've been road game champs!!

The long weekend was much needed and didn't disappoint in being fun! We spent most of the day Saturday helping Preston's dad move some things for Grandma & Grandpa Wood to move into an assisted living place up here. We got to enjoy some awesome food for dinner & football with his family. Sunday Preston wasn't feeling well so he missed most of church, our primary class only had two kids so we played and then had singing & sharing time which always has some funny things happen with our sunbeams. :) That night I had a suprise baby shower for one of our friends that is currently living in Texas. It was so much fun and I was so happy I got to spend some time with friends. Monday I got to sleep in while Preston went to football practice. When he got home we went for a 4 mile run on the Jordan River Parkway. To reward ourselves (mostly me because I've started to slack on running. . .) we got lunch at Cafe Rio. We ended the day with a swim/BBQ at Grandpa Huber's house. Even though the water was freezing we had lots of fun. Towards the end of swimming Preston, Parker, and Willie were having a cannon ball/biggest splash contest. I believe that Willie was the winner.

It was so nice to finally get to spend sometime with Preston this weekend. With football and school we don't get as much time together as we would like to.

Happy Wednesday!!!

Football Week #2

I've been avoiding this post because every time I think about what I want to say it just makes me upset. I'll put it short and sweet.

Offense was amazing! 560 yards of offense (most Hunter has had in a single game since Preston's high school days), two touchdowns taken away (first, not called in the end zone. Second, called back on a bad call.), final score Skyview 44 Hunter 27.

Here's to better luck this week.

Game this week: Friday, Hunter @ West Jordan.

Football Week #1

It is the wonderful time of the year again!! Yes FOOTBALL!! Hunter had their first game of the season on Friday against Layton at Layton. The outcome

Drum Roll please.......

Hunter won!! The final score ended up Hunter 25 Layton 20.

Layton scored first, but we followed soon after. The score was 7-6 them for the majority of the first half. Layton scored right toward the end of the Second Quarter going to half time 13-6. After that it was pretty much all Hunter. We scored three more touchdowns putting us up 25-13. Layton scored again making the score 25-20. We had the ball with about a minute to go and all we had to do was run the clock down. Scary moment when there is about 10 seconds left and we turn the ball over with a 4th down play that turned into a penalty as well. Layton had one more shot, and luck for us the pass was incomplete. I was so excited!! Here are a couple of pictures from the game.

My cheerleaders. I couldn't fit all 26 that were cheering in the picture

Us after the game

This week we play Skyview at Skyview. (Hope it's as good of an outcome!)

News for this week: Preston has officially started school at the University of Utah as of today. He is super excited and a little nervous. I start school at SLCC as well. Luckily for me all my classes are online. Both of us have practice this week, me with cheer and Preston with football.

Our Anniversary

This past weekend Preston and I celebrated our anniversary. Since last year we celebrated early by going to Argentina, we did something special. For me it was a surprise, because Preston planned everything which was fun for me.

We started the weekend by going to a good ol' football game. It was the annual Blue & White game. It was so fun (so excited for football to start!!). We then went and grab a quick dinner and head to the surprise weekend.

We spent a nice relaxing weekend at the Little America Hotel. Even though it wasn't far from home it was a much needed getaway. When we got up to our room there was suppose to be another surprise that wasn't there. We were suppose to walk in to rose petals on the bed, chocolate dipped strawberries and apple cider. We still ended up getting it, but a little late. The next morning we went to the breakfast buffet there. It was so AMAZING!!! We spent the rest of the day hanging out at the hotel, watching the Olympics and swimming in the pool. That night we went to P.F Chang's for dinner. We definately ate well. :) Sunday we went to breakfast at The Park Cafe. It is a very small restuarant, but they had the BEST breakfast I've had in a very long time!! We had to wait for a while, but it was totally worth it!

I am so grateful to be married to such a wonderful man! He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I read a quote today that I think fits perfectly, "Marriage, it only gets better with age."

Summer (so far)

I have been awful at keeping our blog updated. I just can't seem to bring myself to sit down and actually write. I am now sitting at work with nothing to do, but finally write this entry.

So to catch up on our summer it has been very dull compared to our adventures last summer. We have been going and doing a lot of fishing with my siblings, when I say fishing I mean everyone is fishing while I hold my sister's baby.

We went camping with my brother, Mike, and my sister-in-law, Lauryn, in Idaho at Big Springs just up past Lava. We went tubing down the river (Preston's first time ever) and it was so much fun!! We then went and soaked in the hot springs for a little bit. Mike and Preston did a little bit of fishing and caught some fish to eat for dinner.

The 4th of July was spent with Preston's family and mine. We ran the Magna 5k in the morning and went to lunch at his uncle and aunt's house which was really fun! Really good food as always! That night we went to Stadium of Fire with my parents. Main reason why we went: I love Scotty McCreery and he was the Opening Act for The Beach Boys. It was so much fun and the Beach Boys were actually AWESOME!!! The fireworks as always were FABULOUS!!

At the end of July we went on Trek. Preston and I were a Ma & Pa. It was such an amazing experience!! We left on Monday July 23 and got home Friday July 27. Things started out a little shaky when 3 of the 4 buses they got for us had issues (Tire problems and the air breaks went out). We left an hour and a half later than was planned, but we were able to get to Wyoming safely. We stopped by a cemetery on the way up for a story and stopped at Independence Rock. Both were really cool to see and the stories behind both were very special.
We spent the night in Casper. Tuesday we spent the day at Martin's Cove. We had missionaries tell us a story about a lady that was in the Martin Company that was a very spiritual experience. When we got done there, we had some issues with some of the kids health. Two girls ended up going to the hospital and three ended up going home. That night our Stake Presidency was considering not having us Trek at all, but in the end we did.
Wednesday was our first day of Trekking and it was a forever long day! We started later than we were suppose to and plus we had to start with a river crossing through the Sweetwater river with a story told by the missionaries before we crossed. It took way longer that they thought it would to trek 14 miles because kids were having problems with blisters and because of the BLM (Bureau of Land Management), whose land we were on, shortened version we had to stop and wait for everyone to get them taken care of. There was a period of 2 hours we didn't even go 1 mile. We were on the train for 11 almost 12 hours. Let's just say my feet were a little tired.
The next day was much better, but at the same time harder. It was better because we didn't stop as much, it was harder because it was an emotional day. We started way too late and it was hot. We were really good at keeping our kids hydrated, but that wasn't our families problem. We were at the bottom of Rock Ridge (it has this name for a reason believe me!) getting ready for the Women's Pull. All of a sudden I hear that someone was on the ground, most of the boys were at the top of the hill. It was one of my sons that was down and he was shaking. Luckily Preston and another Melchizedek Priesthood down with the women, so they gave him a blessing and were able to take him up in an empty hand cart. Later we learned he'd gone into diabetic shock. We also learned he'd only had an orange for breakfast, but we were so grateful that that was all. The Women's Pull was an awesome experience. Our daughters were rock stars and had no problem with it. The best part is as we were coming to the top the men all lined the sides of the train and had their hats off over their hearts. There's no other way to explain it other that it was amazing.
We spent the last night in Rock Creek Hollow which has been told to us is hallowed ground. We had so much fun and are so grateful that we could go and have the opportunity to experience that. It is something that we will not forget. I now understand a little bit more (no way could I fully understand) what the pioneers had to sacrifice to come to the Salt Lake Valley and how hard it must have been.

As always we are still running. Preston so much more than I am. He ran pretty much the whole time that we were on trek. Yes he woke up at 4 A.M. to go and run 10 miles Tuesday, ran 3 on Wednesday, break on Thursday, and ran Friday when we got home. We got back to running on a more regular schedule. Preston ran a race last Friday. The Legacy Midnight Run 10K. He finished in 42:52. He took 5th overall and 3rd in his age group. He has a few more races that he is doing before he runs his big marathon, The St. George Marathon in October.

Lastly to be caught up, Football season is upon us! Preston has been in full practice mode for the past couple of weeks, with this week ending with the annual Blue and White Game tomorrow night. Then it's off to celebrate our anniversary! 2 years sure has flown by!!

Memorial Day Weekend & More

So we spent Memorial Day Weekend up North with my family. We went fishing up at Pineview Reservoir Friday and Saturday. It was so much fun! On Monday we went with Preston's side of the family to visit graves. It was a good experience and I really enjoyed it. When we got done with the graves, we went up North again fishing. (Preston of course is the one who fishes, not me.) While everyone else fishes I get the chance to play with my nieces which I enjoy! Here are some pictures from our weekend.

This past weekend was a big one for us! Friday, I was busy doing our laundry. Not only that, but I had to register my car, go to the store to buy some things, and then we were headed down to Provo to spend the night at some of our friends house.

Saturday Preston ran in the Utah Valley Marathon. He did very well and was able to walk better than he did after the Ogden Marathon. Other than he had to run in a strong head wind it was a beautiful day!
That night I was making two fruit pizzas for Meranda's farewell the next day. I finished the crust and cutting the fruit at midnight. I was then up early to finish the topping and putting the fruit on.

Church started at 9 and it was a great meeting! Our stake Young Mens President spoke about the trek we have coming up in our stake. Next Cindy got the opportunity to speak along with Meranda, which when she was asked to speak she asked "is that legal?" She did a wonderful job! Parker also got in on the program singing with some young men and young women from our ward. Meranda gave an amazing talk! Even though she doesn't leave for another two weeks, she is ready to go. She will be an amazing missionary!

Ogden Marathon

On Saturday Preston ran his second marathon. It was a perferct day for running (and watching)! We went up Friday to Ogden to get Preston's bib and learn a little bit more about where we needed to go the following day and where spectators were allowed to be to watch. We spent the night at my parents house so that we didn't have to pay for a hotel. Lucky for us they were in Las Vegas for the weekend so we didn't worry about waking them up at 4 in the morning! Jonny was nice enough that he tagged along and we cheered Preston on.

He did an AMAZING job! He took off an hour and fifteen minutes from our first marathon. His final time was 3 hours 43 minutes. He has another marathon on June 9th and then he is planning on doing just the St. George Marathon in October. He is training so hard!

The final goal, qualify for the Boston Marathon: qualifying time 3 hours 5 minutes!

He blew past us!

Happy Birthday Preston!

So today is Preston's birthday! He is now 24 years old! I first met Preston when he was 21 and I was 18. Three years later I couldn't be more proud of who he is and who he has become. He's an amazing person and I wouldn't want to be married to anyone else. He is perfect for me! I hope you have a wonderful next year honey!

Our busy life

So we have been running around lately! So to get every one caught up here is what has happened since my last post.

I got the opportunity to go to California with the cheerleaders for USA National Competition. We left very early in the morning the last Thursday of March. We went to Universal Studios when we got there. It was pretty fun, but nothing I would really want to go to again. It's mainly just shows not a whole lot of roller coasters.

Here is me and one of my cheerleaders at Universal

The best thing that happened on this vacation is Preston surprised me for my birthday! I got a knock on my bedroom door at 10 at night on Thursday! It definitely made me cry!

Friday and Saturday were our competition days. We had a stunt group compete on Friday that did pretty well. Saturday was our team competition. We didn't make it to finals, but they had the best performance that I'd ever seen. I was a very proud coach.

The team after they competed

Even though we didn't make it to finals I got an amazing birthday in DISNEYLAND!!! It was the best birthday I have ever had!
We started the day by getting me my "Happy Birthday" button.

After we rode a few rides we ate at the restaurant in the Pirates ride, The Blue Bayou. It was absolutely amazing!! While we were eating a group of my cheerleaders were on the ride and sang Happy Birthday to me! It made me so happy and very loved!

Waiting to go and eat.

Welcome Baby Hislop!

Yesterday Preston and I got a new niece. Her name is Sadie Love Hislop. She was 7lbs 15oz. She is so cute! She is all cheeks. Kenzie isn't quite sure about being a big sister, but she actually would touch and hold her sister for a minute by the end of the night before we left the hospital. I can't wait to spoil her too!! Here is a picture of Preston, Sadie, and Me.

Here is a picture of Sadie and Me
look at here cute cheeks. :)

Don't forget Uncle Preston

Let the Madness Begin!

March is by far one of my favorite months. The weather is changing--sometimes, this year for example-- it's light when I leave work for the day, and lastly, March Madness!! For those who know me, I love sports! So the NCAA Tourny is probably the best time to watch sports. You never know what is going to happen in a game. I now have an even bigger reason to love March, I get to go to Cali and Disneyland for Nationals with the high school cheer team that I help coach! So excited! Hope you enjoy the rest of the month as much as I do. :)

Catching Up

I have really been slacking on posting as of late. Nothing really exciting has happened as of late. We have just been working, coaching, school, and running--Preston more than myself, but I am working on getting back into the swing of things. I just need to find a way to do it consistently.--

Well some things that we have out of the ordinary, we have been hanging out with one of Preston's mission companions, Jesse and his wife, Tori.

We went with them to The Pie. It was the best pizza I have ever had--and probably the biggest! We had a big group of people so we got the largest size they have. We got half cheese and half pepperoni and mushroom.

After we ate dinner we went the the University of Utah gymnastics meet. It was so packed! There was said to be 14,000 people and I believe it. They were competing against Stanford. It was so much fun to watch them. Coming from the perspective of someone that knows how hard the things they are doing is, I was so fascinated. Last time Preston and I were at a gymnastics meet was right before we got engaged. Here is a picture of us on the very top row watching the meet. :)

So this winter has been very very mild. Pretty much no snow here in the valley. It's been raining down in the valley and I was happy we didn't have to shovel snow. Well December, January, and February came and went and we hadn't had to shovel once--then March came and with March came snow. Lots and lots of snow! I woke up today to find even more snow needing to be shoveled. I sure hope this doesn't last much longer so that I can run outside. :)

This is in our backyard.

Happy Valentine's Day!

So in honor of the holiday, I'm posting about my valentine- Preston. :)

He is an amazing husband to me! He pushes me and helps me to be better each day. He is the hardest working person that I know. He is a wonderful example to me. I am so glad that I get to spend forever with him. He is my eternal Valentine. I love him so much and wanted everyone to know that I am the luckiest girl to have married him!

Crafts--Among other things--

So this is my first craft that I have done for quite sometime. It did this for our apartment and for a Primary lesson that I was teaching.

This is the Valentine gift that we gave to our Primary class today. They really liked it!

So as for Preston and me, we have been going, going, going for the past couple of weeks. Preston is in full swing at work and school. He is running and preparing for a couple of races coming up later this year. As for me, I am working and in full coaching mode with the Hunter High cheerleaders. We are preparing to go to Anaheim, CA at the end of March for Nationals.

Preston and I have been called as part of the YSA stake's Athletic Committee. Our life right now is full of basketball! We love everything that we are able to do right now. We are busy, but able to spend time together.

Speaking--It's been awhile

So today Preston and I got the opportunity today to speak in church. I was nervous beyond all get out! I hadn't spoken for almost three years. The last time I spoke I was a youth speaker and had a five minute talk that I had to give. Today, it was just Preston and I speaking and i had to give a fifteen minute talk. It took a lot of preparing, but I was able to give a fifteen minute talk. I feel that my talk went really well. I had people coming up to me through out church telling me how much they loved my talk.
Preston was sort of in the same boat as me. The last time he spoke in church was almost the exact same time that I last spoke when he got home from his mission. He gave a wonderful talk as well. I am so lucky to have a worthy priesthood holder as my husband. He is such a blessing to me in my life.

Perspective --a much needed reminder--

"We cannot and must not lose focus on the things that matter most." -President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

"The past is behind us--we must learn from it. The future is ahead--we must prepare for it. The present is now--we must live in it." -President Thomas S. Monson

I tend to forget at times what it is that I need to be working toward, like some days I'm just going through the motions to get to the next day. These two very simple quotes hit home and made me realize that I need to stay focused. I need to not worry so much about what I'm not doing or what people think about what I'm doing or worry about trying to do everything at once. I forget that everything I'm doing is to help me work towards a bigger picture.

I need to enjoy and embrace every moment. I need to remember that, and these two quotes will help me do that. So thankful for these great men that lead the Church and help make my life so much better.

A Year in Review

So my New Year post is coming a little bit late, but I wanted to make sure that it had everything that we did and went through this year. So here it is, better late than never.

In January Preston's Grandma Huber passed away. She had been struggling with her health, but it was still hard to lose her. She was an amazing women. I wish that I could have gotten to know her better, but I guess I will have to wait for the eternities for that. We've had the opportunity to see his Grandpa Huber often, which has been a blessing for us.
Preston and I started to run and haven't stopped. We decided at the beginning of the year that we needed to get back into shape. Since then we have ran three 5k's, two Half-Marathons, and a Full Marathon. We have enjoyed the extra time we've been able to spend together running.
In April we celebrated both of our birthdays. I am officially out of my teens! We went out to eat for both of our birthdays to one of our favorite restaurants.
Probably one of the biggest and best experiences we had this year was in May, we had the opportunity to go back to Preston's mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We spent time with the amazing people that he taught and associated with. It is one of the most amazing places I have ever been and I am so grateful that we had such a special opportunity.
In August we celebrated our first anniversary. I am so lucky to have such an amazing person in my life. I couldn't have asked for a better husband. One year gone, eternity left!
Before we knew it football season was upon us. This football season was a little different for both of us. We had a new football coach at Hunter High and I was helping out with the cheerleaders. The team struggled at the beginning of the season, but still made it to the playoffs.
The past couple of months it's been all about the family and spending time with them. With the holiday seasons we saw both families often and we enjoyed every opportunity.

We wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope it's a great one!
