So I've been meaning to write a post, but well I find something else to do and it keeps getting pushed back. So almost 17 months later, I am finally writing!
Well since we had Beau it has been the best adventure ever! In December of 2014 we moved to Syracuse! We are about two minutes from both the Hislops and my parents, we absolutely love it! We love our new home!!
Now for my favorite part: talking about Beau!
He is the best and happiest little guy in town! He only "cries" when he is hungry or tired, or gets really hurt.
He sleeps like a champ and has since about 4 months, I know spoiled!
He is a big kid and has been from the beginning, he loves food!
He loves water! Bath time is his favorite! Swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's new pool was the highlight of the summer!
He didn't crawl until about 10 months and didn't walk until he was 14 months. Now he is basically running everywhere and is gone in the blink of an eye!
He turned ONE in August! It's no exaggeration what they say, you blink and they grow before your eyes.
Christmas this year was the best with him! He would tear off the wrapping paper so carefully, it was so funny! He got a little basketball hoop and loves to score baskets!
If you want more detail you can check out Preston and my instagrams. :)
Life is great! We are doing great and looking forward to another great year!
Happy New Year Everyone!

Welcome Beau Evan Wood
Beau Evan Wood
Born: 8/30/14, 12:12 PM
7lbs 7 oz
19 3/4" length
We are officially parents! We couldn't be more excited! We love our sweet boy. He surprised us by coming almost 3 weeks early! So here is how it all went down.
Friday night was the first home football game for Hunter. We'd gone to the game like normal, but as the night went on I started not to feel very good. Come to realize later I had been having contractions all night. We went and got something quick for dinner, came home and started to watch a movie. I told Preston that I wasn't feeling very good and that I was really exhausted. So off to bed I went. I woke up around 1 thinking that I was starting to go to the bathroom, when I stood up out of bed more liquid came out when I got to the bathroom I realized my water had just broke. Preston had just finished watching his movie and his first question was, "Are you okay?" I said "my water just broke." For the next 10 minutes or so he kept quizzing me about whether it really broke or not. We ended up at St. Mark's around 1: 30 AM. We got checked in and waited for the arrival of our little one, 11 hours, painful contractions, and an epidural later with just three pushes he was here. We've been home and getting adjusted, but we are all doing great!

It's A. . .
It's a boy!! On April 24 we had our appointment where we got to FINALLY find out what we are having. We were so excited to hear that it was a boy. With Mike and Lauryn having a boy in June, we were excited that our little boy will have a boy cousin his age! We got to see lots of different things with the baby. He is growing and is healthy. He was curled up in a little ball so we couldn't get a good look at his face because his arm was in the way. We are so excited and can't wait to meet our little man!
Last Tuesday was Preston's birthday! He is now 26! I love him so much and I'm glad that we got to have a nice evening home for his birthday. I made his favorite dinner, Enchiladas.
On April 30th I officially hit 20 weeks and I'm half way through this pregnancy! Time is flying by and we cannot wait until September! Below is a picture that we took of my little baby bump I've got going now. I have felt Baby Wood kick a lot lately! Preston hasn't been able to feel him yet. Every time you put a hand where he is kicking he stops.

Life is Grand!
Well since I last posted we have had lots of fun and enjoying life!
Over Presidents Day weekend. We went to Disneyland with Preston's family. It was a nice get away out of the cold into 80 degree weather. Sadly, the park was insanely crowded, but we had fun anyway. I did get to go on all of the rides with the approval of my doctor. :) Downside, Splash and Big Thunder were both closed so I didn't get to go on either of them. While we were there to take a break from the crowds, we decided to go to the Utah Men's Basketball game. They were playing at UCLA so we made the hour trip. The lost, but it was still fun. I love Disneyland so much!!
When we got back, we had our next appointment with the doctor. Baby is doing great and is really growing! It no longer looks like a jelly bean. In the Ultrasound you could see the head, body, and a hand. It is completely amazing to me! Plus I am now officially out of the first trimester and didn't throw up once! I am one lucky girl. I can't wait until the next ultrasound to see how big our baby is!
Life is great. We are happy and continuing on. :)

Secrets out, looking forward to 2014
Well I haven't done my New Year's post yet looking back on the past year and what I look forward to what the next year had in store for us, better late than never right? 2013 was a good year to us. Preston got a new job, I went to California with the Hunter High cheer team (they took 6th), we bought a house, we ran the Wasatch Back Ragna relay race, I started school at BYUI, both Grandma and Grandpa Wood pasted away, Meranda got home from her mission, and Preston graduated from the U. It was such a great year for us!
So as for this year we already know what is I'm store for us. On January 13 we found out that later this year we are going to be parents! We are so excited and can't wait for our next adventure!!

Slacker...
Well another month and a half has gone by without my permission. I've been a major slacker, but for good reason I think.
So to play a little bit of catch up since the last post:
Halloween was uneventful. I was excited to have our own house to pass out candy. Well we ended up having like 10 trick-or-treaters. I skipped my class that night to go to the party at Grandpa Huber's house--which was really fun and yummy food.
The first round of the playoffs for football was against Jordan. Hunter came out on bottom. Every team from region 1 and 2 lost the first round. As we had predicted at the beginning of the season Bingham won the 5A state champion. Better luck next year for our boys.
Thanksgiving was good as always. We started with an early Thanksgiving at my parents' house the Sunday before because most of us were going to be elsewhere for Thanksgiving Day. It was yummy and I got to set up my mom's Precious Moments tree--my favorite thing to do! Thanksgiving Day we were spending it with the Woods at Grandpa Huber's house. There were about 50 or so people there and we ate very well!!
With the end of football season we are back to basketball season! We have been to almost every Utah Runnin' Utes game so far this year including their only road game to Boise. They are so much fun to watch! Not only is it college season, but Hunter basketball is going on as well. Thank goodness for basketball season--much warmer than football season was this year.
Road Trip to Boise State
To go into more depth about this fun quick trip that we took. At the home game before the Boise State game, we saw that they were going to be traveling there to play. We got to talking about how much fun that would be to go to that game. It would be on a Tuesday night and I normally work. I decided that I would see if someone could cover. If someone could we would go, if not we wouldn't. After asking around someone was able to. We bought the tickets and were getting ready to go. It was the day after we had a huge snow storm, but we kept checking the weather and it showed that once we got out of Salt Lake County the weather would be better. I picked Preston up from school and we headed on our way. As we were getting to the freeway we got in a little fender-bender--we were very unhappy, but there were only minor scratches on the car so we exchanged information and were on our way.
The roads were pretty bad until we hit Davis county. By the time we got to Ogden the roads were completely dry. All was going well. We were making really good timing. We left at 2 and the game didn't start until 8 so we had lots of time. We stopped for a bite to eat and to fill up on gas. Well out of nowhere a complete blizzard started. It was probably the worst I've seen and we were trying to decide to stop or keep going. We decided that it wasn't going to pass anytime soon and that we should continue on. It lasted for about 40-60 more miles, but finally got clear and we made it to Boise at about 7:30.
The game was fun! There were a lot more Utah fans there than I was thinking there would be. They ended up losing by 2 points which was a bummer. The game got over at about 10 and we were to get back on the road. We needed to get a car charger because both of our phones were almost dead. We stopped at a Walmart and didn't leave until about 11. I tried to get some sleep while Preston drove. The roads were really bad, but we were going faster than we were on the way there. We stopped at the same gas station we had on the way to fill up and get some snacks. We got back on the freeway, but got on the wrong one! We ended up in Pocatello--adding about an hour on to our travel time!! We ended up getting home at 5 Wednesday morning, but it was totally worth it!!
December is going great! Preston is now officially graduated!! We are so happy! Meranda gets home on Thursday! I can't believe that it's already been 18 months--Time flies!
We've experienced such amazing blessings the last little bit. We can't help, but be grateful for what has been given to us and for what the Lord has blessed us with.
I can't believe that next week is Christmas! This is our first Christmas in our own home and I am loving it! We got to put lights on the house which I absolutely loved doing!! Looking forward to next week!!

What's happening?
It is already the end of October?! Really where has the time gone?! Now to play a little bit of catch up:
Preston is in his last semester of school at the University of Utah--Yay!! He is going to be graduating with his Spanish teaching, but he won't have his teaching certificate. He is going a different route than teaching. We'll see how things play out for us come December.
I have switched school and am doing a program called Pathways through BYU-Idaho. It is an awesome program and is going to be perfect for me! It is completely online and I am going to be working towards a degree in Health administration. Although I am getting quite the hassle from family for going to BYU.
High school football ended up being in our regular schedule than we thought it was going to be. Thanks to the OC for Hunter calling Preston all summer long and his schedule for allowing it he has been able to help the team this year. I'm not complaining! I love that he was able to coach and that I was still a coach's wife for another season. They tied for 1st in the region with Taylorsville and will be playing their first playoff game on Friday against Jordan. Really hope we can win at least one playoff game this year!
Preston has been into Fly Fishing this year. He goes with my brother Mike and our brother-in-law Jonny frequently--pretty much every weekend-- on the weber river. I never had the desire, but a couple of weeks ago I decided I'd give it a try. Turns out I LOVE it! I caught two fish my first time and the second time I froze my fingers off and didn't catch anything--still had lots of fun though. I think from now on I'm going to be going with them as long as it's not freezing. :)
Well that's about it, Life is great! Hopefully I won't wait forever to write next time! :)
